One approach is for higher administration, deans, and faculty to commit to an interdisciplinary agenda and review course syllabi for evidence of interdisciplinary focus. For instance, cases where a simplistic interpretation of statistical research were used to manipulate public opinion or change public policy inappropriately (Woods, 2011).
