The third type is the degree awarded by the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and Trinity College, Dublin, which are effectively honorific degrees. Teaching began to shift from the universities to the colleges. At Trinity College, Dublin, founded in 1592, the early M.A. Recipients have to be awarded a B.A.
