As the largest public urban university system in the nation, CUNY had a real opportunity to make a change. In 2023, CUNY s Board of Trustees charged the Universitys leadership including myself to fix the transfer system. CUNY has long been dedicated to eliminating the obstacles that result when a student transfers.

It can identify gaps in existing program offerings and recommend new courses or modifications to existing ones.
