As students enter the online classroom, they bring with them diverse educational experiences, backgrounds, and expectations of faculty interactions. Effective inclusion involves providing appropriate accommodations and support tailored to the unique needs of each student (Dyer 2022, 1712).

Without guidance, even well-intentioned faculty can find themselves unsure of how to respond, which can lead to exclusion, frustration, and conflict.
